Situated on level 14 in boutique building Capricorn One with stunning ocean views one side, River and Hinterland views the other side, plus Surfers Paradise Skyline. I must admit that Brenda, the Manager was polite and she did give us a fan, even if it was a couple of days later.This north-east facing 2 bedroom property capitalises on its brilliant ocean views and first-class location, offering incredible value and it will sell! We were glad to get back home as we did not enjoy the holiday one bit and the hotel room not being as we had thought, did not make it enjoyable at all. Then I was told that it was a two way switch. The dryer was not working therefore the electrician had to come back on Sunday to fix it.īefore we left, the switch in the room between the hall way and dining area did not switch off, so my husband and I had to sleep with the light on all night. One the sliding door, the mesh was cut therefore we couldn\'t leave that open and then it rained for a couple of days, so we had to stay in a stuffy hotel room.

My husband fell ill and he caught a chill because we had to leave the windows open. So after a couple of days, I was given a fan. The room that I stayed in didn\'t have air conditioning and when I questioned them about it, they said that the ad never said it did. I am sorry to say that I was disappointed with the Hotel. We didn't need the fan or air-con (our apt had both) as the sea breeze was already cold enough we used the portable heater instead to keep warm!Īll in all, our view of Capricorn One it's super value for money, and we recommend it if you're looking for a home away from home. There's a convenience store within a 10-min walk and a bus stop near it that'll take you to Surfers Paradise and elsewhere. The kitchen was also equipped with a fridge, kettle, pots and dinnerware so it gave us the option to cook and eat in. There were two toilets so that helped a lot in getting the kids ready.įor us, the washer & dryer were the most important facilities in the apartment as they saved us the hassle (and money) of finding a laundry shop or room (had we stayed in a hotel). We're a family of 5 (2A + 3C) and took a 2-bedroom apt with an extra bed. We just came back from a week's stay and it was just like home away from home.well, actually much better due to the ocean view! I recommend this hotel for: Families, Families with teenagers, Families with young children, Honeymoon, Young singles, Couples, Older travellers Liked: Brenda and Steve- Fantastic Managers Sitting on our balcony looking over the beach, quiet apartments, laundry, kitchen, nice beds etc VALUE FOR MONEY!! You wont be disappointed Spending time together in two uints, fishing off the back dock, swimming in the pool/spa.
